My Top 5 Christmas Films

There’s nothing more festive than cosying up on the sofa with a bunch of Christmas films and a box of chocolates! What’s a better way to spend a Saturday, hey!? It’s officially Christmas to us as soon as December 1st rolls around, so I’ve dug out the Christmas film and we’ll be working our way through our favourites this weekend...

Everyone loves a good Christmas film but I’ve decided to share just my top 5, so...

At Number 5 it’s ‘The Snowman and The Snowdog’. The original is such a classic but when they released this super cute sequel a few years back, it won my heart and does so every year. It’s one of Millie’s favourites too as it’s quite short and she finds it super magical!

A close contender at Number 4, it’s ‘The Nightmare before Christmas’. Now, some people may argue that this isn’t a ‘christmas’ film but to me, it is. We whack it on at Halloween and it stays out then until January. Again, it’s another one of Millie’s favourites!

Number 3 is ‘ELF’. Is it really Christmas if you haven’t seen ELF?! This film makes me laugh year after year and I always look forward to sticking it on and laughing my way through the evening. If you haven’t seen this, you need to get it.

Number 2 is probably the most famous and loved Christmas film ever... ‘Home Alone’. Wouldn’t you have just loved to be Kevin when you were younger?! I’m sure we all had the same thoughts of being left alone for a few days... Perhaps not in the same situation though, but it was definitely a huge favourite of mine when I was younger and still is now!

Which means that coming in at Number 1 is... ‘Arthur Christmas’! I absolutely love this film. We went to see it in the cinema when it was first released and I absolutely adored it. It’s such a warm, lovely film which shows Christmas is a completely different perspective to all of the other typical Christmas films. We’ve already had it on a few times this year and it’s definitely going to be on a few more too! It’s a must have in any christmas film collection!

What’s your favourite Christmas film!? I’d love to know!
