Mylo’s 6 Month Update

Has it really been 6 months already!? 

Mylo is 6 months old this month, actually coming up to 7 months... It has gone so fast that I feel like time has just flown by. He’s been such a good baby and I think that’s probably why his 6 month mark has happened quicker than I can believe! I just thought I’d fill you in on his general updates, how he’s getting on and how he is as a baby compared to Millie... 

Mylo is now, officially, 27 weeks old and weighs approximately 18lbs 9oz. Little Fatty. 

He has been weaning since he was around 5 months old and has taken to food amazingly. 

He has 3 bottles a day with his breakfast and dinner and is a mixture of baby led and spoon fed.

He loves toast, carrot crisps and rice pudding. 

He has been sleeping through since he was quite young and we’re in the transition of putting him in his own room! 

He can sit up fully un-aided now and can roll front-back/back-front. 

He hasn’t quite mastered crawling, I think he’s too heavy for that just yet but he does love being on the floor with Harry and Millie! 

He loves watching In the Night Garden (what do they do to that programme!?) and Bing. 

He loves his toys too - his sock monkey is his favourite! 

He is such a happy baby. He’s always smiling and laughing, especially at his big sister! 

We’re trying to get him to say Mom-mom but he just laughs! 

He’s also in a really good routine which we established from around 4/5 weeks old. I think it’s really important for babies and parents to have a routine - especially if you have other children. It just helps to make your day run smoothly and you know whats to come! 

He doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of teething (yet).

He’s moving from 6-9 month clothing to 9-12 months (especially leggings!). 

He’s completely different to Millie when she was a baby - she was so diddy and petite that she was lifting herself up by this point, she was crawling too and started to take her first steps within the next few weeks. Because their birthdays are 5 days apart, Mylo is the same age as Millie was at the same time of year (if that makes sense) so it’s hard to not compare what Millie was doing at this point. 

The important thing is that he’s such a joy to have around. He’s going to be a little ray of sunshine and cause absolute havoc with his sister, but that’s just how we wanted it!
