Pumpkin Picking

Autumns here so what better way to embrace it than to stick some wellies on and a warm coat and head out to pick some Pumpkins!

We’ve never done it before so I think it’s going to be the start of a nice little tradition for us! We go Strawberry picking each year and over at Cattows Farm, they have Pumpkin picking all through the month of October. We’re talking 100’s of Pumpkins available to grab and wheel home! Plus, what better way to teach your little ones of where Pumpkins come from and that they’re not just for Halloween (although, they are!).

Along with the Pumpkin field, there’s a Farm shop and Cafe where you can buy fresh produce or grab a Hot Chocolate whilst the kids play on the play area! There are a few cows, sheep and goats to go and feed too so it’s easily a good couple of hours out of the house. We paid approx £1.40 per Pumpkin, apart from the smallest one which was 47p!! So much cheaper than the supermarkets!

If you’re local to Leicestershire, I definitely recommend a trip to Cattows Farm, even if it’s not to pick any Pumpkins and just for a free Autumn day out with the family!
