Selfridges Perfecting Beauty Event & Mini Haul

Last Thursday, I headed over to Selfridges in the Bullring for the Birmingham hosting of ‘Perfecting Beauty’. It was an event that was open to all with tickets costing just £10 and fully redeemable against purchases on the evening. Each counter were giving tips and demonstrations on different beauty techniques such as smokey eyes and flawless skin and along with this, Sali Hughes was also there talking all things beauty and answering our questions throughout the evening. 

I pondered around a few different counters but it was Charlotte Tilbury that took my fancy and being so my friend Charley is the Business Manager for Charlotte Tilbury over at Selfridges, I only thought it was fair that she made me over using some of the gorgeous products that were on show. I chose to go with the look ‘Vintage Vamp’, one of Charlotte’s pre-created looks and Charley used the Vintage Vamp palette, a Colour Chameleon in Bronzed Garnet,  Feline Flick liquid eyeliner and one of the new Matte Revolution Lipsticks in Birkin Brown and I loved it all but limited myself to buying the eyeshadow quad, colour chameleon and the blending brush but also got this limited edition makeup bag for free! If you’re ever over in Selfridges, be sure to say hi to the Charlotte Tilbury girls and get them to show you the beautiful products! 

Whilst I was there, I traded a few of my empty pots from MAC in for a lipstick through their Back to MAC scheme and picked up a gorgeous vampy purple shade in Smoked Purple - perfect with the Vintage Vamp quad from CT! Alongside all of this, I also got an amazing goodie bag which came from the lucky dip part of the event. If you spent £75 or over, you got to pick 3 products from the lucky dip that included full-sized items from brands such as Phillip Kingsley, NARS, Estee Lauder and more but because Charley is a babe, she managed to grab me one that had a load of mini’s in totalling 9 products! The Nails Inc. polish is packed for holiday and the perfumes are coming too!  If you ever wonder through Brum, be sure to head to Selfridges and check out the Beauty Hall or better yet, book yourself a personal beauty shopping experience with the lovely Rose and she will take you, step by step, through the brands, what is best for you and talk to you all things beauty. I had an amazing night, spent far too much money but it was so worth it!
