Lush Recycling: Holiday Travel Tip

If you read my first post last week on what I’m taking on holiday, I gave you a little clue as to what I’d be talking about today and it’s all about using up those little Lush bottles once you’ve finished with them! 
I’ve had so many lying around with dribs and drabs in them and so when we booked a holiday, I knew it was the perfect excuse to use them up (that goes for Snow Fairy too - Only 3 more months and it’ll be back in my life), and refill them with the things I need to take with me on holiday! The bottles are the perfect travel size and you can fit well over a weeks worth of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in them. 
So, here’s what I did with mine... 

I washed out the bottles as well as I could and slowly squeezed the contents of a Radox Shower Gel into my beloved, year old, torn labelled Snow Fairy so I knew which one was the Shower Gel (pink label) and then did the same with 2 more but with a HASK Shampoo and Conditioner. The conditioner was a little trickier to do as it’s much thicker than the shampoo and shower gel but the best way to do it is to do it in short bursts and let the conditioner settle before you squirt in anymore. Of course, if you have a funnel you can use this too but you may need another pair of hands to help! 

The bottles from Lush are recycled anyway so you’re doing your bit for the environment and you’re also saving yourself a few quid on buying new shower gels/shampoos etc for holiday when you can just use up what you already have at home!  Don’t forget to pop any toiletries into a plastic bag though incase they leak!
