Bronzed Autumn Makeup

If you’re subscribed to my Youtube, you may have seen my new video. If not, go ahead and subscribe and let me know what you think!

I’ve been wearing bronzed makeup lately as I’m still quite tanned from holiday and I cannot stop using my Chartlotte Tilbury palette so I thought I’d create a little tutorial/get ready with me style video in which you can see how I create the bronzed, autumnal look. I’d love to know what you think of the video too and what other videos you’d like to see (if any) as I enjoy the whole process of making them!

I have a few other videos on my channel too including vlogs and haul videos so go on over, take a look and give each video a thumbs up!

Boots ‘Lets Give It A Go’ Beauty Box

Another fabulous beauty box arrived from Boots whilst I was on holiday and this one was a ‘Give it a go’ box full of products that have been associated with their ‘Lets Give it a Go’ events that are happening in store each Friday in Boots stores at 4pm. It’s a chance for you to pop in, speak to the experts and try new things you wouldn’t normally opt for! Whether it’s a berry lip, brighter nail polish or filling in those brows... Try something new and Lets Give It A Go!
The box is FULL of goodies that I can’t wait to try, intact, I’ve already used a few things because I just couldn’t wait but stay tuned for fuller reviews on them all. Products received were:
No7 Lash and Brow Brush Pro - £8.00 here
No7 Smokey Eye Brush - £7.25 here
No7 Bronzing Highighter - £9.95 here
No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow Trio - £9.50 here
Sleek Makeup Brow Kit - £8.49 here
Barry M Waterproof Gel Eyeliner - £5.49 here
Revlon Highlighting/Bronzing palette - £8.99 here
Boujois Rouge Velvet Lipstick - £8.99 here
Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation - £11.99 here
Essie Nail Polish - £7.99 here
I’ve been absolutely loving the No7 Bronzing Highlighter as I’m still nicely tanned from holiday and both of the No7 brushes are incredible - I love the folding eyebrow brush! I’ve not got the Sleek Eyebrow palette either but I’ve always heard good things about it, the same goes for the Rouge Velvet Lipstick! I can’t wait to give all of these things a go and let you all know how I get on!
Shall I create a makeup look using all of the above? Or do you want individual reviews?
Let me know!

My Holiday Must Have's

Another holiday post, sorry. But today, I’m going to reveal some of the items that I couldn’t have got through the week without. There’s a mixture of everything really and I hope that if you’re off on holiday soon or even when you come to go next year, you’ll remember what I’m telling you about these holiday must have’s.
1) Sunglasses. I’m such a squinter when I’m on holiday. I can’t not wear my sunglasses and I’d even risk getting massive white rings round my eyes so that I don’t squint the whole time. My eyes are so sensitive to sunlight so that sunglasses are just stuck to my face the whole time. These H&M tortoise shell sunglasses were £2.00 and they’re the sturdiest sunny’s I’ve ever owned. LOVE THEM.
2) Robinsons ‘Squash’d’ squeezy squash. These are super handy, even at home! The size of them meant Millie had juice to drink rather than just water all week and of course, we had something to add to our water. They’re super tiny so you can carry them in your hand luggage and we had 1 that lasted all week!
3) No7 Facial Aftersun Lotion. This stuff is a dreeeeeam if you are prone to burning your face whilst on holiday. My forehead and nose always burn so I kept this in the fridge and applied it each afternoon and just let it soak in. It doesn’t feel greasy, it doesn’t leave any weird residue on your skin and most of all, it soothes your hot skin! I hope this stays around for next year - I highly recommend!

4) Balconette DD+ Bikini’s. If you have big boobies, the last thing you want to be squeezing those bad boys into is little triangle bikinis or even bikinis with no support. Uh uh sister, strap those babies down with a good DD+ bikini top. This polka dot one is from ASOS and I wore it most days. I could even go strapless as it held my boobs in place and I felt confident that they weren’t going to pop out!
5) In-shower aftersun lotion*. This stuff speaks for itself. What better way to soothe those burnt shoulders, squirt this all over them, turn the shower to cold and let the gasps commence!
6) Sliders. I’m no fan of strappy, in-between-your-toes flip flops, they make me cringe! So when I come across these black sliders, I had to have them and I’m so glad I did. I never took take them off, yes... Even now, I’m still wearing them. They’re so bloody comfy and for £10.00 I’ve definitely got my moneys worth.
7) Soltan Dry Touch Suntan lotion*. You know the horrible, greasy, sticky feeling you get when you apply suntan lotion? The type that puts you off applying it and you’d rather burn? Well, with this, you don’t get that at all. It’s a spray on lotion and it comes out clear too so spray and rub it in then you’re good to go! I also used this on my face and unlike creamy lotions, it didn’t break me out in spots. Winner!
There’s not one thing on this list that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone that’s off on their jolly’s so, make a list, bookmark the page or buy the stuff now before you forget! What are your holiday must haves?

Travel: Lanzarote 2014

I’m back! As you may (or may not) have known, we went on holiday last week to Lanzarote. It wasn’t the best of holidays - for a number of reasons... Millie was sick 4 times on the day we travelled, she was then grumpy/teething/ill for the first 3 days, we then got ill on the 4th day and the food at the hotel was terrible. Other than that, it was lovely to get away and have a proper holiday as a little family of 3.

Here’s some of my favourite photos from the week...

The Autumn Tag 2014

Yes I’m saying it, yes... It’s happening. It’s officially Autumn. The leaves are turning brown and there seems to be more on the floor than on the trees, there is that dewy glow in the mornings where it’s not quite cold but not too warm and of course, it gets dark around 8pm now. So, what better way to get into the Autumnal mood than to complete The Autumn Tag. Created by Georgina over at Makeup-Pixi3
1.  Ok we're talking coffee's - What's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?
Although I’d normally drink a Hazelnut Latte (from Costa, obvs) when it comes to winter, I love the White Hot Chocolate or the Hot Spiced Apple drinks. You have to try them both if you haven’t already!

2.  Accessories - What do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?
Im a lover of scarfs and gloves but can never seem to find my gloves when it comes round to needing them!

3.  Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
I don’t think I have a favourite seasonal music genre so just anything that’s currently in the charts.

4.  Perfume - what's your favourite scent for this time of year?
I dont really have a mix of perfumes for winter etc but Im loving Ghost at the moment!

5.  Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?
We have a mixture of candles in the flat at the moment but I definitely need to go and pick some more up. I think I want a Firewood one and then some more Cinnamon wax tarts to burn off too!

6.  What do you love most about Autumn?
The leaves changing colour, the nights drawing in and the fact you don’t need an excuse to have a duvet day - sit and watch films and drink tea all day!

7.  Favourite makeup look?
Probably neutrals or golds and browns. Perfect to match the turning leaves!

8.  What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
The different events that come with it i.e. Halloween, Bonfire night and then the countdown to Christmas!

MAC Smoked Purple Lipstick

I mentioned in my Selfridges Perfecting Beauty event post that I got myself a new MAC Lipstick from Back to MAC’ing 6 of my empty MAC products. I took back 3 eyeshadow pots that had been de-potted into a palette, an empty MSF and 2 empty duo eyeshadow pots and for all of those, you get to choose a FREE lipstick. I had in mind a purple, it was going to be Rebel but when I saw this, I knew I needed it.

Smoked Purple is kind of in-between Cyber and Rebel with more blue undertones to it and a lot darker than Rebel but not as deep and dark as Cyber, I think a lot more people will be able to pull this off compared to those who can’t pull off Cyber. It’s the perfect shade for Autumn and it goes perfect with a smokey eye or even a bold liner too! It’s a Matte Lipstick and because it’s a dark shade, you can obviously see my natural lip colour come through on the opening of my mouth but it’s unavoidable and at least means no lipstick teeth!

You can Back to MAC your empty containers at any MAC store in return for a free lipstick of your choice (i’m not sure this includes promotional collections though) or if you’re looking for a new lipstick, you can buy them online

What’s your favourite Autumnal MAC lipstick?
