A day in Stratford Upon Avon

Yesterday, we took advantage of both of us having the day off and the lovely weather and drove over to Stratford upon Avon. We came to the conclusion that we don’t get out enough and now Millie is at the stage that she can do more, we can start to go more places!

We had a lovely day, strolled around the shops, had a picnic, went to the butterfly farm and enjoyed an ice cream! It was such a nice day and was good to be enjoying it. I’m still trying to get the hang of the aperture on my camera to make the backgrounds blurry - it just doesn’t work as good on bridge cameras so if any of you can recommend a cheap (under £300) DSLR, I may look into buying one soon! Anyway, take a look at what we got up to…

  1. It looks like you had a lovely day - I used to love going to Stratford as a child. They used to have a "Teletubby" shop, it even had the slide! There was also a Rosie & Jim boat and a Tinie Tots cottage, was a great little place when I was under five! x

  4. Oh I love the Butterfly Farm in Stratford, I'm not sure what camera you have but a lot of being able to get blurred backgrounds is about the lens rather than the camera body. There are some good lenses that can be quite cheap, eg. the Canon 50mm f1.8 lens is good but only about £80.
