Millie’s 1st Birthday

I’ve been a bit absent from the blogging world lately - with uni deadlines, work and planning/celebrating Millie’s 1st Birthday over the weekend, i’ve not really had chance to sit down and do some proper blogging. I promise that i’m trying to get more done though!!

For now, take a look at some of the photos from our weekend of Birthday Celebrations and make sure you take a look at the little videos i’ve put together too! We had a little party for her at my Mums on Saturday, she saw her other Nanny and Grandad and went out for dinner with Adam and them on Sunday whilst I worked, boooo, and then we went to the Zoo on her actual Birthday! I cannot believe that Millie is 1 already, literally… Where has this last year gone!? My baby isn’t a baby anymore!!

Music to my ears #1

A brief post today and something a little random but I wanted to share with you a song that I really like at the moment.
Tove Lo - Stay High
It reminds me of nights out, driving at god knows what time in the morning with the girls, chatting, dancing, eating McDonalds and god knows what else. Play at full volume and increase the bass if possible.
Enjoy!

OOTD: Boohoo Orange & Blue

It’s my Dad’s birthday today! Happy Birthday Dad, what are you now? 60!? Haha…

I nearly forgot all about this Orange Blazer until a few weeks back. It was a bargain buy from Primark last year and it’s lasted me so well because it’s something that you have to think about wearing - you can’t just shove it on with everything because it’s BRIGHT ORANGE! I thought the brightness of this outfit would be too much but it actually goes really well, don’t you think!? I love it. It’s definitely my favourite outfit at the moment.

I really want to get my hair dyed though. I want it lighter, more ‘ombre’ through the ends - a little like Kimberley Walshes but not that blonde. My hair grows out super quick and because it’s natural quite dark, my roots are terrible. I’ll be getting on the phone to my hairdresser soon I think!

#BootsCamp: Get Summer Ready

It will soon be time to buy the lotions and potions to protect us from the sun whilst you’re on holiday or if you’re not that lucky to be getting away, tans and topper-uppers to maintain a glow whilst enjoying the English summer we have here! So, to make sure you know where to get all the essentials from, Boots have supplied me with a #Boots Camp box full of all the goodies I’ll need to stay prim and proper this summer!
We’re off to Cornwall in 3 weeks and I have my fingers crossed in hope that the weather will stay nice and we will actually be needing sun tan lotion, if not - i’ll definitely be using tan to make my legs look that little bit nicer with a gorgeous glow rather than a rusty, pale look! To help me achieve everything I need to stay looking lovely in the sun, here are some of the things, courtesy of Boots, that i’ll be using:
Indeed Labs Facial Exfoliator £18.99*
No7 Brilliantly Bare Beauty Enhancer £12.50*
Soltan Dry Touch Suntan Lotion £6.00*
Nivea In-Shower Aftersun Lotion £3.00*
Vita Liberata Luxury Tan £37.50*
Vita Liberata Tan Mitt*
I’ll be reviewing all these products before, during and after my trip to Cornwall so keep an eye out for them and any tips that I discover as to how to get the best uses from them all!

How do you get summer ready? Will you need a hand from #BootsCamp?

OOTD: Boohoo Flowered Playsuit

This outfit is kind of a ‘do it all’ one and I love it. The pattern on the playsuit is so summery and bright yet it can still be toned down. I didn’t want to bare all when it come to my legs today though so I slipped on a pair of tights and it worked so well! These ones are ultra thick though so I probably could have gone with a lower denier tight to give more a summery feel. Just an indicator of how flexible the playsuit is!

I also teamed it up with a fluffy jumper as our flat is still a little chilly at the moment so I’m either snuggled under a blanket or wrapping up in my jumpers! This is going to be another definite for the trip to Cornwall although I think I’ll try to wear it without the tights! The only bad thing about playsuits is the whole getting undressed just for a wee situation. Yeah… Slightly annoying!

Millie’s Easter Basket

Happy Easter!
I hope by now, you’re feeling sick after eating far too much chocolate but are still trying to cram as much in as you can!? We’re off for a Christmas style dinner at my Grandparents this afternoon but this morning has been spent going through what the Easter Bunny has left for us all, including Millie’s Easter Basket and here it is…
Most of the contents are from Home Bargains and Poundland. A bargain Easter Basket full of treats and toys!

How are you spending your Easter Sunday?

A day in Stratford Upon Avon

Yesterday, we took advantage of both of us having the day off and the lovely weather and drove over to Stratford upon Avon. We came to the conclusion that we don’t get out enough and now Millie is at the stage that she can do more, we can start to go more places!

We had a lovely day, strolled around the shops, had a picnic, went to the butterfly farm and enjoyed an ice cream! It was such a nice day and was good to be enjoying it. I’m still trying to get the hang of the aperture on my camera to make the backgrounds blurry - it just doesn’t work as good on bridge cameras so if any of you can recommend a cheap (under £300) DSLR, I may look into buying one soon! Anyway, take a look at what we got up to…
