Bought, Did, Tried #1

So with the start of a new year, I thought i’d introduce a new weekly feature on my blog which will pop up every Sunday. It will include things i’ve bought that week, things i’ve tried, things i’ve done and a variation of things i’ve made, read or seen. I hope you enjoy it! Sorry for the mix of picture qualities, my camera ran out of batteries so they have been charging for 2 days!
So a little stop off in town on Saturday lead me to taking a peek in Poundland and what a good job I did! I come across these Sally Henson Nail Wraps (£1.00 each) and grabbed the last few that were there! I can’t wait to give them a go!! Whilst in Poundland I got 3 books as well… Cheryl Cole’s Autobiography (£1.00), Stripped and Tabloid Girl (£1.00 for 2)

I also picked up some Mark Hill de-tangling Spray (£3.49 Boots) as my hair gets SO tangled when I’ve washed it; It seems to be helping though so fingers crossed it’s working! I got another Stay Matte Powder (£3.99 Boots) as mine is nearly all gone and the new Baby Skin Primer (£7.99 Boots) which was also the last on the shelf! I’ve seen a few people blog about the Maybelline Brow Drama (£2.49 Boots) and as it was Buy 1 Get 1 Half price, I couldn’t not try it, right!?

I placed a little New Look order online and got these cute little socks and a cream fluffy jumper (which is in the wash) as i’ve been looking for one for ages! I love it!

I got myself a pair of Tweezerman tweezers (£12.50 from Boots) last week and i’ve actually been able to pluck my brows with them! I was always a wreck when it came to plucking my brows as I just couldn’t stand the pain but these are so perfect and sharp that they grab every hair you need to get rid of and make perfect brows!

I was kindly sent this Tru Two way Deep Cleansing lotion (£25.00 The Tru Brand) last year and haven’t got round to using it yet as my skin is acting up whenever it comes to using different products but I’ve given this a go this week and i’m really loving it! It hasn’t broken me out and it removes al make up with just 2 cotton pads! I find I have to moisturise after as it’s a little strong for parts of my face and leave them a little dry but overall, I’m enjoying using it and will have a more in depth review coming soon!

If you follow me on Twitter, you will have seen that i’ve taken up one of my resolutions and started to maintain a healthy eating diet so that I can loose weight. Over the last few months, i’ve just indulged like nobody is watching and eaten what I want, when I want, however often I want and it’s all just been a little too much. I never lost my baby weight so it’s just all piling on. I’m the heaviest i’ve ever been so that needs to change. I’m not on a strict diet, i’m just eating less and healthier so it’s all about fruit and veg, clean meats and no stodgy carbs! Last night I made a Mexican sort of dinner with a Mexican Style Chicken in the Bag mixture (99p Sainsburys), Homemade Guacamole (1 Avacado mashed, 1 Lime Juiced, 1/2 Red Onion finely chopped, 1tsp Lazy Garlic & Salt+Pepper), Homemade Salsa (1 carton chopped Tomatoes drained, 1tsp Lazy Garlic, 1tsp Lazy Chilli, 1/2 Red Onion finely chopped, 1tsp Cumin powder), Cucumber and Mushroom Salad, Pitta Bread and Mixed beans. It was one of the best things i’ve ever made and tasted delicious! Even though i’m eating healthy doesn’t mean the food I eat has to be boring!
So that’s it for week one!
What have you been up to this week!?
