Clothes Show Live 2013

On Sunday, I ventured over to Birmingham to go to The Clothes Show Live for the first time, ever! I’ve never been before as it’s never something that’s really interested me but I thought that this year, i’d give it a go and see what all the fuss is about. I applied for a press pass as part of my blogging because I know that i’d be taking pictures and got accepted. YAY!

I met Shay and Amy and we headed to get our passes but that was it. When I say ‘that was it’ we were given no maps, schedules of who was where at what time, no goodie bags - nothing! I was a little disappointed as I had expected at least a guide of the show and where to find everything. We were just left to fend for ourselves pretty much. We wondered round not really knowing where we were heading and it wasn’t too busy when we first arrived so looking at stalls etc was pretty easily done. After about an hour of walking round I felt like I was just seeing the same things but on different stalls! It was all tack and looked like things you’d buy on the market or them cheap £5 shops! Nothing looked appealing and the only stalls that did were the more well known brands.

I hate shopping with people, I hate crowds, I hate tack so I guess it wasn’t the best place for me to be but I did grab some bits (see below) and then the time had come to head to the fashion show which I really enjoyed! We were sat right behind Andy Jordan too who is hotter in real life than on T.V.! The models did an amazing job in the show which included dancing and scenes of New Years Eve - the shoes were stunning and so were the men!

Models Own Goodie Bag - £10.00 Included Choice of 3 x Nail Polishes + Nail file, Mirror, Lip balm, Eyeshadow applicators, Eyeshadow, Nail Glitter Polish and 3 x Eye pencils
Jelly Pong Pong Goodie Bag - £5.00 Included 1 x Lip Stain, Blush and Bronzer Duo, 2 in 1 Eyeshadow / Liner pencil and a Face Brightening Palette
The Ragged Priest Skirt - £10.00 RRP £45.00
White Noise Jumper - £10.00 RRP £60.00
Mens Abandon Ship Kitten Tshirt - £20.00 RRP £30.00

There were a few places offering goodie bag sort of deals but these were the only 2 that I really liked the look of! I very rarely wear nail polish so the others wouldn’t have been worth paying for.
We were also lucky enough to meet and have our photo taken with Proudlock as he was around his clothing stand - he was about the leave and Shay managed to convince the bouncer to let us have a picture with him! YESSSSS!!

The overall experience wasn’t the best, it’s too expensive when you’re there and i’d never pay full price for a ticket. The only benefit we had having blogger passes was the better seats for the Fashion Show!

I don’t know if i’ll be going again next year in all honesty! Did you think the same?!
