Chobani Bloggers Dinner

"Chobani was founded on the belief that people have great taste; they just need great options. That’s why we started Chobani back in 2005 — to make high-quality, great tasting yoghurt available to the masses. In just five short years, yoghurt lovers across the pond made Chobani the number one selling yoghurt in America! We are now incredibly excited to bring to the UK the deliciously thick and creamy yoghurt that Mustafa Dogan, our Master Yoghurt Maker, spent more than 18 months perfecting."

On Wednesday, a handful of lucky bloggers were invited by Amy to a special dinner for the promotion of Chobani. A 0% fat yoghurt that can be used in a variety of dishes, not just eaten from the pot! The meal was at Edmunds Resturant in Brindley Place, Birmingham and myself, Heidi, Carmen, Sophie, Hayley, Chloe, Sarah and many other food bloggers attended and had a hand prepared, 3 course meal - all having yogurt as one of the ingredients!

As we arrived, we were welcomed with a cocktail made from Passion fruit, Orange juice, Pinapple juice, Malibu, Barcardi, Grenadine and Chobani Natural Yogurt. Yes. Yogurt in a cocktail! And they were lovely! Unfortunately, I was driving so I could only have one but the other girls made sure they drank enough for me I think ;)

Wine was being poured, cocktails were still being drunk... I could see how the night was going to go...

We were seated and homemade bread was placed on the table. We had a selection of Granary, White and Bacon Granary. I tried all 3 and they were amazing! Love a good piece of bread I do! Then come the Amuse Bouche which was a Potato and Yogurt soup (with another ingredient but I can't remember what - sorry!) which was soooo tasty!
Starters came. I chose Roasted Breast of Pigeon with a Chobani Dressing and Candied Beetroot. The pigeon was something I was a little nervous about trying but it was actually really good. It looks like a tiny piece of steak with a really rich flavour. It is quite tough but I image when it's cooked right (like last night) it's a real good piece of meat! I thoroughly enjoyed mine!

Main course consisted of Fillet of Beef (medium rare) with Chobani and Herb Potato. Now, this was the BEST piece of Steak I have EVER eaten. The outside was cooked enough for the flavour to come through and the middle oozed with juices and melted in my mouth. Perfect. The Chobani dip that was served with it was a perfect accompaniment - I just wish I had some more bread to dip it in!

Dessert. The best bit. Unfortunately, not for me though. I went for the SoufflĂ© but it's not a texture i'm too keen on so I only really enjoyed the crispy top and ice cream that went with it. Saying this, I still devoured it all! Nomnomnom!
A selection of sweets were served at the end and a few of us had coffee also. A perfect way to end a perfect evening. There were lots of laughs, jokes and food consumed but it was a really good way to spend a night with some favourite bloggers of mine and of course, some new faces!

Thank you to Amy for being such a welcoming host and thank you to the team at Edmunds for accommodating such a lively bunch of bloggers!

If you went to the Chobani event, please leave your link so I can follow your blogs!
