Guest Post: Megan Jane Jewellery

When the lovely Emma asked if I’d like to write a guest post here on Not Your Average, of course I said YES PLEASE. Then she went on to say I could talk to you all about my handmade jewellery…such a darling!
So let’s get started…
I’m Megan Jane and I run a little online boutique called Megan Jane Jewellery. All of the jewellery for sale on my website is made by moi! I have been making jewellery for nearly three years now and still enjoy every single moment spent crafting, promoting and selling (both online and at local fairs). I would say my handmade designs are whimsical and a little quirky, with something to appeal to every jewellery-loving lady.
If you would have asked me a few years ago if I thought I’d be doing this now, the answer definitely would have been no. After all I was the girl at Infant School who had to be taken into a separate room to attempt my cross stitch because it made me panic haha! Funnily enough I find making jewellery therapeutic and it always feels like such an achievement when a piece of jewellery turns out exactly how I pictured it in my head.
Here are some of my favourite pieces from my latest Spring / Summer collection…
Vintage style birdcage necklace

Pearl crackle crystal bracelet

Glitter bottle necklace
Three reasons to buy handmade…
  • You are guaranteed to receive a unique piece of jewellery – no two pieces are exactly the same!
  • You will be supporting local / national crafters rather than just huge machine-using brands
  • Own a piece of jewellery that was created with love, patience and thought (much better than blood, sweat and tears right?)
A big thank you to Emma for giving me the chance to share my creations with you all. I’d love to hear what you think of them!
